About Us

We are a Christian Church. We just call ourselves Christians. We try and imitate the New Testament church as much as possible. Our highest principle is that "Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God." That's it. This means we are self-governed and self-supported.

We don't think we are the only Christians. We wanted to be unified with all believers in Jesus Christ. We are a thinking church and seek to apply biblical truth intelligently. We believe the Christian faith demands the best our minds can give.

Our Core Beliefs

God is real. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and totally in charge of all creation. God is three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator and sustainer of all life. Every person matters deeply to God.

Jesus Christ is God's only Son who came into the world by taking human form. He did this to save us. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He died on a cross for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead. He is coming back.

Everyone has sinned, so everyone needs Jesus. Salvation is a gift of God's Grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us how this gift is received: a person hears the word of God (Rom 10:17) and desires freedom from the power/penalty of sin, they believe in Jesus Christ as God's son (John 3:16,17), they repent of their sins (Luke 13:3), publicly confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Rom 10:9) and are immersed in baptism where they enter into Christ (Rom 6:3,4, Gal 3:27).

The Holy Spirit lives in every believer, acting as a guide, counselor, and teacher. The Holy Spirit equips and enables us to live Christ-like lives empowered for works of service.

The Bible is God's Holy Word, inspired by Him through the Holy Spirit to its writers. It is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice.
